Guide to Giclée:
The pronunciation of giclée is “zhee-clay.”
A giclée print is the reproduction of an original work of art using a highly specialised printer to match the original painting and has a smooth tonal gradation.
There is no screen dot effect as seen in litho print. These unique printers are able to vary the width of the ink to as small as 1/100th the width of human hair.
In the art world this is generally regarded as the highest quality reproduction available and is used by museums and galleries.
Our UK produced limited edition prints use light fast inks, guaranteed for 75 years in normal use and the very best quality papers.
